Contentment: The Unamerican Way

He makes me to lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside still waters, He restores my soul. (Psalm 23:2–3)

My dear ones, if you want to live in a state of contentment and peace, lie down in My green pastures. Feed on My presence daily. Soak in it. Contemplate My Word and meditate on it. Digest its meaning for your life and allow it to become part of your makeup. Drink deeply of the purified waters of the Holy Spirit. The world’s waters are polluted, muddied by the vain philosophies of the times. They will satisfy for a little while, but it all comes with a price tag. Disease and weakness will begin to set in, and your soul will wither.

If you drink of the clean water, it will wash away the impurities of your demanding desires. Stay beside the still waters for a time. I know gushing streams frighten sheep, so I’ll quiet it for you. Lap up this healing tonic for your soul, and even if you were diseased, you will be restored. Calm your spirit, your fears, and your anxieties. Rest your head on My shoulder. Listen to Me speak into your life. Hear My calming voice. Drink deeply, so you can then give a cup to one who thirsts. ( I AM Calling)
