Speak to Your Doubt

Speak to your doubt. "Doubt, you are no more." Speak to the doubt. "Doubt, you will not have the victory." Speak to the doubt. My God is leading me.

We all have doubts and fears, but what we do with it is the deciding factor of whether we will have victory over them or not. We must speak into our doubts that God is able. Some say to ignore the doubt. That might work for a while, but the enemy of our soul knows how to bring up things we suppress. I think ignoring works for a while, but not in the long run. We need to face our doubts head on with the power of the Holy Spirit.

When the fears arise, we must know the word to extinguish the fiery darts of the enemy. “Fear not, for I am with you,” says the Lord. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:4). But we try to figure things out. We need faith to extinguish what the enemy throws our way. It’s very important to be able to see with eyes of faith into the unseen world, to see that God is working. We will do well to trust Him and not lean on our own understanding. We limit ourselves, and we limit God when we confine our thinking to this natural world.

If we speak boldly to the doubts and fears, they no longer have a hold on me and you. We must surrender both our mind and our heart so that we may have the mind of Christ. If we want to have the victory, we must be willing to do battle with the enemy and our own wayward, self-doubting thoughts. If you want to have the victory over doubt. then take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. We must not entertain and dwell on the negative thoughts about ourselves, about others, about our family, about our church and about life in general. Victory is but one thought away.

Yet our thoughts must be based on the Word of God and not our own wishes and desires. We must grab hold of the promises that apply to our life and make them part of our lives. Meditate upon them. Search for their deeper meeting. Memorize them. Write them on cards and put them before us so that we read them daily. Substitute our names where appropriate. Here are some powerful verses that has sustained me through the storms of life and when doing battle with my own mind:

For God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

No weapon formed against me (say yours or another’s name here) shall prosper. Isaiah 54:17

With man, it is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26

If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, Ask whatever you wish and it will be done to you. John 15:7 (First we must abide in Him and secondly know His Word so we don’t pray according to our own fleshly desires. Jesus warns that those prayers will not be answered. We must get a hold of the mind of Christ and pray those kinds of prayers).

If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! Matthew 7:11

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 2 Peter 1:3

Search the scripture for your self and find those promises that pertain to your doubts and fears. Read the whole chapter. Meditate upon it. Research and understand within its context, but don’t explain it away. Ask the Holy Spirit for revelation as how it pertains to your life. NO doubts, your fears and doubts will try to reel you back in, but stand on God’s promises and who you are as a child of God.
